April 13, 2008 9:42 am Exercise, WeightBodyPUMP class today. I don’t feel like going but I haven’t felt like exercising for about a month now. I still go but it’s a struggle. Doing it by myself has finally caught up with me and it’s just not enjoyable. Hopefully the class today will help a bit.
Rode stationary bike at ACAC in the afternoon. ~11 miles in about 30ish minutes. Kept HR at around 145bpm and pedals going about 75rpm.

Ah, the inevitable “Slump”. The initial zeal is gone, and exercise becomes drudgery. We’ve all been there. The key is to recognize that that’s what’s going on and make a commitment to your plan regardless. Also, find the physical things you think are fun and pursue them. Personally, long bike rides work for me; I wish I had time to do more of them. And training for some sort of event is also a good motivator. Maybe pick a 5K race to aim for. If you like racquetball, ACAC Downtown has a list of people of all different levels that you can contact to play with.
