May 7, 2008 4:55 pm Exercise, WeightNew running plan. Still get bad side aches but run through them for a bit until I can’t breath. Trying intervals again but with running at 5mph and then walking. The run feels more comfortable in pace but kicks my ass and makes it hard to breath.
Shins have been hurting though (as well as lower back). Need to get new shoes I’m thinking.

Definitely get new RUNNING shoes. Go to Ragged Mountain Running Shop and get fitted for the right shoes. They might cost a little more, but in the end you’ll be MUCH happier. And the right shoes make a world of difference.

Tonight at softball I think I figured out that it seems like it’s my cleats that are making my shins hurt. They dont’ seem to offer much protection from running and that sort of thing.
