Interval running (C25K - Week 4) for 30 minutes and 1.96 miles. I knocked the speed down to about 4.6ish and was able to run the entire time and not get as winded. I think that is more likely to be my pace for longer runs (maybe a bit slower still) and gives me a lot of space to improve.
Also rowed 1000m in somewhere around 5 minutes afterwards. Just a little time to work the arms more than running does. In the very near future I want to experiment with the ellipticals to see how they feel.
Also had a meeting this morning to do a caliper test for body fat. I’d like to give myself a baseline to judge progress in the future. That, and I love me some telemetry…

First day of actually getting full resistance workout all the way through. My weaknesses are leg extensions, biceps and upright presses. Did some rowing for about 5 minutes (1012m) afterwards to loosen up a bit and get a little cardio. I’m pretty shakey from the workout though so I couldn’t do much. I may have to split up days with resistance and do that in the morning and then come back at night.
I start Waltz classes February 7th though so that will get me back here every thursday night anyway so doing some cardio before that shouldn’t be a problem.

Interval running (C25K - week 4) for 30 minutes and 1.99 (I think I can count that as a 2) miles. I couldn’t quite run the whole time that I was supposed to. I was doing well until the last minute or two of the 5minute run segments and just got so winded that I couldn’t keep running. I’m still happy with my progress and can see that I will be able to run it all next time.
Also rode bike for about 15 minutes and 5.4 miles on resistance 8. Just tried to keep my heartrate around 140-160 and RPMs over 75.
Since I was traveling all day yesterday I didn’t get any exercise in (got home and was ready for bed).

Interval running plan (C25K - Week 3) for 25 minutes and 1.78 miles this morning on my parents’ treadmill. I miss the ones from ACAC. Pretty rough run and it was hard to select the different speeds I needed. I’ll have to wait until I get back from the stuff this weekend in Indiana to upload my data. Hopefully I’ll try to run again sometime this weekend.
No weight since there apparently isn’t a scale in the house. Tomorrow I don’t think I’ll be feeling up to doing anything though. It’s going to be a sucky day.

Interval running (C25K - Week 3) for 27 minutes and about 1.74 miles. I’ve realized that I have been running faster than my pace should be right now. By bumping the speed for the running portion back to about 5.2 or 5.1 I can maintain a pace where I’m not gasping for breath during the 3minute running section. My triceps are still rediculously sore but it’s getting better and I’m looking forward to doing some weights soon.
Workouts will be just about only running though this coming few days as I have to go home for my cousin’s funeral and they only have a treadmill at home. Pushups and calf-lifts it is!

No workout today. Wanted to do some weight training but my arms are so sore that it was difficult to put on a shirt this morning and all but impossible to carry my workout bag from my bedroom into the dining room.

Oh, so from yesterday. It was a bit difficult to get out of bed this morning physically so I’m going to try to loosen up during the day and try to run after work. No rowing machine for today though. Ow.
Bucked up (and actually took some ibuprofen - yes I had some) and ran my first day of the new running week plan. 1.87 miles in 30 minutes. I think it was less distance but longer runs (90sec and 3min) than before. It doesn’t seem like a lot compared to some others but it’s a really good point for me from not running much at all before. Still sore from the workout Sunday but the run helped loosen up my legs a bit.
No HR details since I forgot that stuff at home when I left for the gym.

BodyPUMP kicked my ass today. Well, more like it strangled my arms and legs but the point is the same. Ow. I really need to work with weights more. I didn’t feel like my heart rate got too high (we’ll check the monitor readings later) but there were several reps I just skipped because I couldn’t get my arms/legs to move anymore. I left about 10 minutes before it ended just so I could manage to walk out
I knew it was going downhill when I wasn’t able to get my arms up high enough to wipe sweat off my nose. I’m taking a few minutes now to drink water and get my arms to stop shaking… typing is interesting. All in all, I was in there for about 45 minutes. Nothing like a cardio workout with a barbell.

Interval running (C25K - Week 2) for 30 minutes and went about 1.96 miles. Week two is done. I think I may need to bump the speed for my runs down a bit since it looks like I might be working just a tad too hard on these runs. I’d like to keep my heart rate more in the zone 4 than in 5 where it seems to want to be.

Afterwards I felt like I could do a bit more so I played around on the rowing machine for about 10ish minutes. There’s a fish game on it that you control the y-axis by rowing harder or lighter and trying to avoid fish bigger than you. It was different and I did that for about 5 minutes before I returned to just rowing. That part I went about 1000m and got my heart rate back up a bit from the rest I had gotten between machines. Done with running week 2; almost 1/3 through it…
